• Current Certificate of Registration in good standing, or eligible for registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario. 
• Current CPR or BCLS certificate. 
• Current employment (within the last 5 years) a minimum of 3 years in an acute medicine , inpatient surgical unit or oncology nursing experience 
• Completion of all the DeSouza certifications (Chemotherapy, Biotherapy and Foundations in Oncology Nursing) 
• Evidence of continuing professional development. (Please list most recent 3 on application) 
• Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. (Physical Demands Analysis PDA available to review)  
• Utilizes a patient-centred nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care. 
• Performs and delivers care in which specialized knowledge, critical thinking, psychometric & cognitive skills, communication & collaboration abilities and empathy are required. 
• Utilizes more than one patient information system e.g. MEDITECH, OPIS. 
• Engages and facilitates interprofessional collaborative care which includes and is centred around the patient and their choices in their care. 
• Demonstrates safe handling of hazardous drugs in day to day practice. 
• Demonstrates medication safety practices. 
• Participates in continuous improvement activities. 
• Must complete a chemotherapy & biotherapy continuing competence program annually. 
• Other duties as assigned
