Our welcoming and cohesive, multi-disciplinary team at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake are seeking casual Registered Nurses to join them in providing outstanding patient-centered nursing care for surgical patients.   Based within our fast paced pre-surgical screening and surgical day care unit, the RN provides nursing care and support for progressive general and obstetrics/gynaecology surgical programs. At Cariboo Memorial Hospital, there is a strong commitment toward staff development and encouraging growth and teamwork is an essential component of our daily activities.   This is a casual position which means that hours are not guaranteed and may vary. Shift times are Monday to Friday 06:45 to 14:45, 07:30 to 15:30, 10:30 to 18:30 on an as needed basis. The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area and is one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals. Located in Kamloops, RIH offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services The Surgical High Observation unit is a newer unit, part of the general 36 bed surgical unit at RIH. 4 beds offer care for high observation surgical patients while the remaining 32 beds provide care for general, urology, vascular and trauma surgical patients.   The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.   This is a permanent full-time position.
