If you are certified in chemotherapy administration and if oncology nursing is your passion, we have casual RN opportunities now available at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.   As a member of our interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse - Oncology is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Registered Nurses are expected to demonstrate a specialized body of knowledge in addition to skills such as strong critical thinking, communication, advocacy and a commitment to high quality, safe patient centered care.   This position is casual, which means that hours are not guaranteed and may vary on an as needed basis. Shift times are Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30.   Located in Cranbrook, between Kimberley and Fernie, the East Kootenay Regional Hospital is a 75 bed regional referral centre for patients and smaller community hospitals throughout the designated health service area. The Nurse provides urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use. Reporting to the Manager of Renal Services, the Registered Nurse Hemodialysis provides nursing care and support to patients with chronic kidney disease or kidney related problems undergoing hemodialysis at Kelowna General Hospital. The primary responsibilities of this position are the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in a primary care setting. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.
