Administrator – Hogarth Riverview Manor Long-Term Care Home St. Joseph’s Care Group is looking for an Administrator to oversee Hogarth Riverview Manor – its 544-bed long- term care home located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Reporting to the Vice President Seniors’ Health, the Administrator has responsibility for the provision of high quality care while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents of the home and staff. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership to achieve the Home’s goals and objectives; manage human, financial, and physical resources for the various departments of the Home Select and develop employees; provide opportunities for growth and development; and create an environment that increases knowledge and skills among all employees Liaise and consult with residents, families, and the community in order to maintain a positive public image for the Home Participate in the budgeting process and accountable for managing all operations of the facility within budget QUALIFICATIONS In addition to your degree/diploma in health or social services, you have, are working toward, or are eligible for Long-Term Care Administrator Certification (minimum of 100 hours of instruction) Ontario Fire Safety: Training for Owners/Operators” Course Certificate Post-secondary education in management At least three years of working experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the health or social services sector of significant size, or in another managerial or supervisory capacity together with the Long Term Care Administrator Certificate Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong leadership skills to direct the work of the employees Superb organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills Customer-focused attitude, with an emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with residents and families Ability to generate creative solutions and new approaches to daily challenges Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety practices, principles, and legislation Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and all applicable legislation Knowledge of the changing health care system is an asset WE OFFER St. Joseph’s Care Group cares about "Our People", and we know that a welcoming, caring, and supportive environment creates a positive work place that ensures employees are able to provide the best possible care to our residents.
