Director, Clinical Programs Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care (Waypoint) provides extensive inpatient and outpatient tertiary mental health and addiction services to a population of more than 500,000, as the regional mental health hospital for Simcoe County, Muskoka and portions of Dufferin County and Parry Sound. The Position Reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Services, the Director, Clinical Programs (Director) will be accountable for the overall operations and service delivery of two clinical portfolios, the Awenda and Beckwith programs. Working in close partnership with the Medical Directors and Program Psychiatrists, the Director oversees approximately 160 professionals, with a total annual budget of approximately $14 million. In this strategic and operational role, the Director will ensure an ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care by actively promoting and continuing the advancement of evidence based practices and high quality focused, patient-centred care, both within, across and outside of the organization. Key leadership initiatives for the new Director will be to: Align the strategic and operational objectives of the program areas with Waypoint’s strategic plan by continuing to advance a culture of clinical excellence and high performing teams. Develop and nurture strategic alliances and partnerships with various internal and external partners, striving towards seamless integrated service delivery in response to the identified needs of the Client. Provide leadership to guide ongoing program efficiencies and clinical best practices by continuing to promote and implement Continuous Quality Improvement, as well as Recovery and Trauma Informed Care principles and outcomes. Develop and empower a cohesive and collaborative team that is service driven and focused on establishing an exceptional Client experience. Experience The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of progressive professional experience in a complex mental health environment, excelling by building relationships, promoting collaboration, managing change and seeking out innovative alternatives. A champion of transformation, the successful candidate will have the ability to continuously raise the level of care while advancing forensic mental health services in a multidisciplinary program environment. In addition to a Master’s Degree (or equivalent combination of experience and education), the candidate will ideally have experience with tertiary mental health and forensic client populations.
