If so, then Elk Valley Regional Hospital (EVH) in Fernie, BC is the place for you and we currently have an opportunity for a Perioperative Nurse in our team. Elk Valley Hospital is a busy and challenging rural hospital set in the picturesque Elk Valley in the Rocky Mountains. There is currently one Operating Room and a Endoscopy suite within the 20 bed Acute site. Surgical services are scheduled 4 days per week for elective day surgery procedures with On-Call for C-sections and urgent procedures. EVH offers Obs/Gyne, General Surgeries, Endoscopic services and Dental surgery. Our hours of operation are weekdays with On-Call overnight with the aim of 24/7 on call to support C-section and Trauma coverage. This position is a 0.85 permanent part time FTE. Shifts are rotating days 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00 with on-call attached. Interior Health offers excellent benefits and opportunities to maximize your skills! Qualifications Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC). Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area (perioperative nursing) and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. *Please note that experience in emergency and/or obstetrics would be considered an asset.
