Health PEI is currently seeking its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Accountable to Health PEI’s Board of Directors for the achievement of optimal health system performance, the CEO is the strategic and administrative head of Health PEI, responsible for the fiscally prudent delivery of health services in accordance with the PEI Health Services Act and the PEI Provincial Health Plan. The CEO provides strategic leadership to ongoing system transformation and ensures the continued promotion of a cohesive and positive organizational culture that is focused on quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement. As Health PEI’s key ambassador and spokesperson, the CEO’s proactive communications will ensure effective and collaborative relations with government, staff, stakeholders, regional partners and, perhaps most importantly, with Islanders, in achieving the One Island Health System vision. As an ideal candidate for this role you are a strategic thinker who is creative, solutions- oriented, and possessing a systems/integrative view of health. Previous senior leadership experience (CEO, COO, EVP, etc.) in a large, complex, and dynamic health environment is preferred, as is demonstrable experience reporting to, or serving on, a Board of Directors.
